Little Rock Zoo’s Tails and Tunes

The whole family will enjoy this late night Zoo experience. Visit all of your favorite animals until 8 pm and end it shaking your tail at the Civitan Elephant Stage. The Tails and Tunes summer late night experience will feature unique weekly live entertainment, specialty food vendors, and for the adults beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Regular Zoo admission prices and parking fees are required. Zoo members may enjoy this event at no additional cost.

The Family Fun will start each night at 6pm.

Live Music at Civitan Elephant Stage 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Specialty Food vendors will begin to serve at 5:00pm.

Yard games and other interactive activities available for the whole family.

June 3, 2021 – Cliff Prowse and Susan Erwin Prowse

Cliff & Susan are a married international touring duo armed with a piano, fiddle, and guitar based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Their high energy, all-request, interactive show keeps crowds entertained for 4+ hours in venues worldwide. With over 1,000 songs in their arsenal, they bring a great mix of Country, Blues, Rock, Pop and Oldies to crowds of all ages.

June 10, 2021 – The Rodney Block Collective

The Rodney Block Collective, a quartet comprised of lead trumpet, piano, bass, and drums, with extra vocalist as needed led by Rodney Block, celebrated Arkansan musician.

June 17, 2021 – The Juice

(The Juice Duo aka Juice From Concentrate) of vocalist and guitarist Jim Goza and drummer Travis Smith. The duo bring dance-worthy grooves and electronic drums, looping guitars and beatboxing, with the weight of a full band in a smaller package. The setlist is eclectic and full of crowd favorites, mixed with a healthy dose of comedy.

*The UA Little Rock Alumni Association will be in attendance!* Are you a current UA Little Rock Alum, recent grad, or an Alum who needs to renew membership? You are invited to visit the UA Little Rock booth to renew your membership or join the association!

June 24, 2021 – Off the Cuff – Featuring LaSheena Gordon

Off the Cuff, is a band of musicians led by lead trumpet player Jose Holloway. The band is based in Little Rock, AR. They all have a strong passion in their crafts and love rocking with their friends creating a jazz infused jam session!

LaSheena V. Gordon (SheenaV) performs professionally in our community with a host of talented musicians and most recently partnered with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in their live streamed production of “Peter & the Wolf”. She is currently one of the choir teachers at Sylvan Hills Middle School and known as Ms. G with her students who told her she has to shout out her Blue Bella’s, Blue Diamonds, and Blue Tones!

Bukavu’s 3rd Birthday at Little Rock Zoo

It's party time for our rambunctious little toddler, Bukavu! He's turning 3, and we will celebrate Saturday, June 19th!

All the fun begins at 1:30pm at the top of the Great Apes area and will feature:

Keeper Chat by Great Ape staff
Enrichment in Gorilla Yard for the entire family
Safari trail mix snacks and lemonade for party guests (while supplies last)
Photo slideshow of the birthday boy and family!

Father’s Day at the Little Rock Zoo

Celebrate Dad at the Little Rock Zoo this Father's Day! Your general admission covers your day at the Zoo and your chance to spend quality time with Dad.

Come to see and meet the dads at the Zoo like Kivu (gorilla), dad of Bukavu; Bhandar (orangutan), dad of Kasih; Liku (tiger) dad of Asmara, and our newest dad, Johari, dad of the rhino calf on the way! Be sure to look for special signage at the various exhibit where our animal dads live.

Take Dad on a ride on the historic Over-The-Jumps carousel or the Arkansas Diamond Express train; buy Dad lunch from Café Africa's new mobile ordering app; or maybe get him a gift at the Safari Trader Gift Shop! Definitely take Dad to hear the Gravel Yard Blue Grass Band at the Civitan Elephant Stage from 11:00am to 2:00pm!

There are so many ways to celebrate the Dad in your life and show your appreciation at the Little Rock Zoo! Come see us!
