It’s that time of year again and school is around the corner, so this weekend Arkansas is participating in its annual Tax Free Weekend. From 12:01 AM Saturday 8/7 till 11:59 Sunday 8/8, you can purchase all the clothing, school supplies, and even electronics your student needs.
There are some stipulations on qualifying purchases so you can always check out the DFA website if you’re unsure, but here’s a handy rule of thumb:
Clothing — individual items under $100
Clothing Accessories — individual items under $50
Most school supplies
Electronics– see list below
With virtual school on the rise again, the state has also included electronics as part of the line up this year! This will include the following: calculators, cell phones, computer monitors, mouses, keyboards, desktop computers, e-readers, laptops, printers, and tablets.
Also a lot of stores are allowing you to go online and place a store pick up order and still qualify for tax free, that way you don’t even have to deal with the crowds. Just give your favorite store a call If you aren’t sure if your favorite store has this option!
