4 St Patrick’s Day Activities | Little Rock Moms Network

Looking to add some LUCK to your week? Check out these 4 fun ways to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with your family!

Rainbow Painting

This is such a fun activity because it’s so easy to tweak for different ages and skill levels. For your older kids just grab some paints and let them practice free hand painting. For younger kids, help them practice early writing techniques by either printing or drawing an outline of a rainbow and getting some Q-Tips. This will let them practice coloring a rainbow and hold a pencil by using the Q-Tips to dip in the paint and put dots in the blank rainbow. For older toddlers do the same activity but put the corresponding color in the correct row of the rainbow. Finally for babies and very young toddlers put paints on a piece of paper in rainbow order and put it in a Ziploc bag. This lets them explore and manipulate the colors without creating a big clean up for you!

Themed Meals

One way to celebrate is creating a fun visual for your little eaters. For breakfast make four leaf clover pancakes by adding green food coloring to your batter and cooking them in a heart shaped pancake mold (or silicone cookie cutter). You can even add Leprechaun Juice (green milk) or a Pot of Gold scrambled eggs. For lunch head somewhere over the rainbow with multi-colored fruits arranged like a rainbow with a white Vanilla Greek yogurt cloud and a pot of golden chicken nuggets. Finally for a quick and tasty snack grab a kiwi, slice into circles, and arrange in the shape of a shamrock.

Scavenger Hunt

Use this printable to find St. Patrick’s Day themed items, and you can even have a prize of a Pot of Chocolate Gold Coins at the end of the day!

Leprechaun Trap

Have a builder on your hands? Gather some glue, construction paper, a small box or empty cereal box, and anything else you think might tempt a leprechaun. Cover the box in green paper and decorate (don’t forget the Free Gold Sign)! You can even get a stick and with a string attached and prop up the box with a pot of gold.
